MEET OUR GOLF ADVISORY BOARD

We believe the effort of introducing, educating and promoting  Golf, A Game for Life  benefits from having an advisory “resource” to insure we connect with and build/expand a “golf community.” Our focus is to help anyone/everyone see the value of participating in playing golf, in their “own way, own time, own place.”

The following biographies represent those folks that we feel provide: “Golf, A Game for Life” with the advice, guidance, and information needed to help others understand and appreciate some of what Mike Keiser developer (and author), and his Scotsman designer David McLay Kidd built when they created Bandon Dunes Golf Resort on the Oregon coastline. Like Keiser’s book, “The Nature of the Game”, golf is an opportunity for any of us to fall “In Love with the Links!”

CHRIS LONG

owner of Long Custom Building and Remodeling, LLC

Chris Long distinguishes himself from other general contractors with his unique career path. After graduating from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Chris started his career as a teacher, inspiring and mentoring young students. During his summers off, he tried his hand at carpentry and home improvement side jobs to supplement his income. As word of mouth about his work spread, he quickly gained new clients and referrals. Faced with a difficult decision between his stable teaching job and his passion for trades, Chris chose to turn his side gig into a full-time business, fueled by his entrepreneurial spirit and sheer grit.

Chris takes pride in his company’s completed projects, which exceed $18 million in value, and include a wide range of work such as new construction custom homes, additions, in-law suites, and countless kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovations. Recently, Chris has expanded his services to include Whiskey Lounge Builds, and he’d be happy to share pictures of his own lounge or to humbly brag about his family.

Chris attributes much of his success to his talented and experienced team of industry professionals, who embrace a culture of uncompromised customer service, white-glove assurance, and quality craftsmanship. He also relies on his trustworthy network of strategic designers, suppliers, and subcontractors to deliver precisely what each client wants.

With over 23 years of experience in residential construction, remodeling, and design/build, Chris Long and his team at Long Custom Building & Remodeling have delighted Delaware Valley clients by bringing a measure of white-glove comfort and ease to the uneasy demolition and renovation experience.
